I will tell you today, and tell you tomorrow that young people are indestructible.  They can put their minds, and bodies through things that seem impossible to people above the age of 30 and laugh off the damage.  The indelible quest for fun and enjoyment often put me in harms way.  Never once did I think twice about the pain or discomfort that might follow incredibly stupid stunts.  Being maimed never entered my mind, but looking back on it was a very real possibility on an almost daily basis.

The other night at dinner my nephew was talking about a scar he had on his are from a Roman Candle fight he had.  I chuckled and told the story of how I had done that my self many times.  Then went on to talk about the bottle rocket fights as well.  I remember taking a 2 foot aluminum tube from my moms vacuum and duct taping the bottom.  I would light the bottle rocket, drop it in, and hold the pipe on my shoulder like I thought you would a rocket launcher.  Fffffffommp! I can still hear the sound, and smell the gun powder.  Looking at my hands now I can see some reminders of those days.
