For as long as I can remember the joy and happiness that used to come from holidays has slowly and surly eroded away leaving what I can only describe as a festering sore of dread. Each year they come bringing expectations of great times, joy and pure happiness. Each year they go leaving behind unfulfilled expectations and sadness.
Why cant friends and family pick better times of the year to reconenct. Times with less presure and pretense surounding them? Ah well, as the Grinch knows, there is no way to stop it from coming. This year with the economy the way it is, I fear that it will be even worse.
Well I guess I will just have to try and find the few bright moments the make my way through. Here is to little bags of fire, cold nights, cinnamon booze and great friends.
