This is not a new thing. At least not here in New Mexico. Its seems that it is totally acceptable to some people to wear slippers/house shoes everywhere. I used to laugh it off until I realized it was leading people to think it was ok to wear the PJs out too. I’m not talking 6am at Bucky’s either. Its every where restaurants to Walmart. I was sitting with my friends eating some lunch and a man wearing pajama bottoms, house shoes and a matching sports team t-shirt walks in. Like it was nothing. He didnt just run out of the house to grab something, that is what he was wearing and he didnt care.
If wearing sweat pants means you have given up, what does wearing PJs mean? You never even tried? I commented that it all starts with checking your mail in your slippers. Its a slippery slope people. Be careful.
